Regulatory landscape

AGTECH scouts and documents the regulatory landscape of a country or countries of choice, which its clients (innovators) prefer to deploy in their technologies and products. AGTECH does this by searching for information, visits, and holds consultations with relevant regulatory authorities to acquire the applicable guidelines/regulations necessary for products’ import and efficacy tests. AGTECH develops and provides its clients with regulatory roadmaps that outline products’ pathway from product’s import to field-testing, statistical analysis and interpretation, registration, licensing (if required), deployment, and commercialization. Additionally, AGTECH guides its clients to fill the requisite form(s), submit and defend the application to secure permits for import and field-testing.

Field-testing for efficacy and safety

AGTECH has established partnerships with various national research institutes/centers, universities, and private spread across its countries of operation in Africa to conduct field trials and necessary product safety studies. AGTECH designs and develops testing protocols (field trials and biosafety), including field layouts and field treatment combinations shared with clients and partners carrying out efficacy tests.

Product registration and commercialization

Once the efficacy and biosafety tests are concluded, AGTECH either submits the data to the client to carry out the registration process by itself, or AGTECH does, on its behalf, holds a registration license and avails it for deployment and commercialization through sub-licensees. AGTECH can provide other services like product promotion and marketing, product stewardship, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) strategies throughout the product deployment and commercialization pathway.

Training

AGTECH provides training to clients, their associates, and sub-licensees in various components that would lead to robust and rapid product testing, deployment, commercialization, uptake, and diffusion. These components include, but not limited to, field-layout designs, product stewardship, quality control (e.g., sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) procedures), post-harvest handling, environmental health, promotional and marketing strategies and renewable energy solutions.
